Architecture Overview

Cloud Connect EVC acts as an integration layer between charging infrastructure and payment terminals.

Communication Paths

OCPI Protocol

OCPI is the protocol that is used between the Cloud Connect EVC server and the CPMS providers. The standard that is currently supported is OCPI 2.2.1 in combination witht the Direct Payments 1.12 module. This connection has the following responsibilities:

• Location synchronization
• Tariff synchronization
• Payment processing
• Terminal integration
• Session updates
• CDR exchange

Terminal Services

All the actual terminal services and communication is managed by CCV and the Cloud Connect EVC server. This includes:

• Terminal management
• Software updates
• User interface
• Payment authorization
• Payment settlement
