How to perform a power loss or closing of ECR/POS during transaction test

1. Start a transaction of EUR 5.00
2. Dip C-TAP Test card (chip)
3. Enter the PIN code
4. Directly after power off ECR/POS or stop Application on ECR/POS
5. Start up ECR/POS (power on or start application)
6. Start (attempt) a transaction.

IMPORTANT EXECUTE THIS TEST PREFERABLE AT THE END OF THE TEST SESSION / CERTIFICATION

ALSO IS IT ALLOWED TO STOP THE APPLICATION DURING THE TRANSACTION

Expected results

• ECR/POS should keep a record of transaction in progress. in other words ECR/POS should not allow starting a new transaction immediately at 6
• ECR/POS should perform recovery to check the outcome

Recovery:

• manual procedure: reprint ticket and manually book the transaction result
• automatic procedure: RepeatLastMessage and TicketReprint are done automatically. Check the transaction to be booked properly and cardholder receipt can be printed and journal is registered properly
