As an integrator you can access a physical terminal with a complex protocol called OPI for a long time.
CCV hided that complexity in an Android SDK but that SDK didn’t match all the needs of all integrators.
The Android REST Beta API is an API that fulfills those needs by providing a modern API for POS applications that would like to have a direct connection between the POS and a CCV terminals.
As you can see, this API is still in beta.
