Attended Certification Tests / Connection Lost / Q1B - Manual Transaction Recovery

Intro

In this guide you will find all the steps to perform a manual transaction recovery test, and the result we expect to see. If you have not yet implemented this functionality, you can learn how to do this with our “Payment Recovery” guide.
This test will only be performed when you’ve implemented the manual recovery procedure.

How to perform a manual transaction recovery test

1. Start a transaction of EUR 10.00
2. Dip C-TAP Test card (chip)
3. Disconnect terminal with POS
   a. Handheld device: Close ECR/POS app b. POS + Terminal setup: Disconnect the LAN / RS232 cable from the ECR/POS after has been pressed
4. Reconnect
   a. Handheld device: Open ECR/POS
   b. POS + Terminal setup: After 60 seconds, reconnect the cable or open ECR/POS app
5. Use Manual TicketReprint to check the outcome
6. Perform an extra transaction to validate that everything is still working correctly

Expected results

• ECR/POS uses the T2 timeout of 50 seconds correctly
• Verify that the (proper) transaction is booked manual
• Any error on the TicketReprint should be investigated and could indicate failure of this test
• The extra transaction is completed without any errors
