API  Application Programming Interface
API key An API key is the key needed to have access to the PSP environment. The (intial) key is generated by CCV (Online Payments). A API key is merchant specific and one API key can be used to access multiple PINpads (of the same merchant)

An API key may, for security reasons, never be stored on a local device in the shop
